MUSIC TAKES FLIGHT: The Family Concert has become a much sought-after occasion to explore and discover instruments of the orchestra and classical music. At 1:00pm children have the opportunity to meet orchestra members and see the instruments up close ~ and even play some of them. At 2:00pm, Jacob Scherr, Skagit Symphony’s newly appointed Assistant Conductor, will be leading the 45-minute concert of a variety of engaging pieces for the young and young-at-heart.
