The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, is a courtroom drama set in a local neighborhood in purgatory. The trial is The Kingdom of Heaven vs. Judas Iscariot, brought to retrial by a writ from God. Many biblical celebrities, modern saints and Satan himself are called to testify. The play asks provocative questions about divine mercy and the role of free-will, examining the betrayal of Jesus in a modern twist that mixes hip-hop with street talk. Recomended for mature audiences. Adult language.
